Manufacturing Websites Need Mobile-First Indexing

Manufacturing Websites Need Mobile-First Indexing

Manufacturers use cell phones for mobile search.

Manufacturing personnel rely on mobile devices to research industry trends, competitors, potential customers and vendors. According to Think with Google, mobile search has outpaced desktop search since 2015.

Manufacturing workers are interested in obtaining factually accurate information quickly. When designing landing pages for the manufacturing industry, it is important to design mobile friendly landing pages.

Mobile-First Indexing versus Desktop Indexing for Manufacturers

Google’s shift to mobile-first indexing is driving the revised best practices for manufacturing landing page design. Simply stated, Google will look first at the mobile version of your manufacturing website when indexing the content of your website. The performance of the mobile version of your website will determine the rank for both the mobile and desktop version of your website.
